O AMOR É...U19

U19 – Who will go with Romania?
The kick-off of the 3rd U19 European Championship will be given on next October 25th in Portugal. Eight teams will play this competition with the aim to win this tournament in order to be qualified for the Junior World Rugby Trophy 2010.
It is in Coimbra, university city located in the centre of Portugal that Italy, Georgia, Russia, Belgium, Spain, Spain, Poland, Germany and of course the host union, will be gathered together from 25th until 31st of October to play the U19 European Championship 2009.

Eight teams and just one qualifying place for the Junior World Rugby Trophy 2010, which will be attributed to the winner. One might as well say that the competition will be hard and promise to be thrilling.

If Romania, titleholder of this world tournament (Note: winner of the JWRT 2009 in Kenya), is already qualified, it is difficult today to indicate one favourite team in particular: “Gap is considerable decreasing for several years. The big emerging unions are working a lot and foil forecast”, specifies Jean-Claude Baqué. The last U18 Justin Bridou European Championship proved that with the excellent performance of Romania, Belgium and Russia in Group A. “Today, Italy, relegated of the Junior World Championship, should be the favourite, but the other seven teams show a real willpower to improve and can now compete with some high-level nations” adds the FIRA-AER President.

Answer on next October 31st, after the final of the U19 European Championship 2009.
